North Forge Switch Build Event

May 12, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT

Makers Making Change are hosting a workshop in partnership with North Forge, supported by Women in 3D Printing, on May 12 2022  @ 1.00pm-4.00pm (CST)

(this is a private event and by invitation only )

Join us to learn about Assistive Technology and the work of the Neil Squire Society and the Makers Making Change program.  Learn some of the basics of 3D printing using slicr software, how to design a switch topper and build your own MMC60 Flexure switch.

This switch is activated by applying pressure on the top surface. This switch can be connected to any standard AT interface, and can be used to operate switch adapted toys and with the Xbox Adaptive Controller. The switch can be used on a flat surface or mounted using the 1/4″-20 UNC connection on the bottom.

The top button / activation surface is attached to the base by threading it on. This makes it easy to change tops to change color, labels, etc.

Full build kits, tools and step by step instructions will be supplied to participating Students will be joined by North Forge mentors to help with the switch build.

Makers Making Change is pleased to have you join us to provide assistive devices to people with disabilities in your community!
