About the Build and Lending Library

We are developing a lending library of DIY Assistive Technology and need your help to create our starting inventory. This build will create our inventory of proximity switches in order to loan out to AT users here in NYC. If you are building this switch, we ask that you mail back the completed switch using the provided mailing label so we may add the device to our inventory.

About the Proximity Switch:

This is a relatively low-cost accessibility switch activated by waving over or very lightly pressing the activation area. The switch is well-suited for use by small movements of a finger or larger gross movements of a hand or limb. When registering, please indicate if you require: just the components (you are able to print your own 3D prints and have the components), 3D parts and components (you do not have access to a printer), or neither if you have both components and printer or just want to watch.
