RBC Royal Bank of Canada Virtual Build

Makers Making Change is excited to partner with RBC Royal Bank of Canada for a Virtual Build!

Team Atlantic from RBC Royal Bank of Canada will be joining us once again for this virtual build! We had so much fun the first time, they are building with us again again! Participants will be  provided with tools and materials, and be instructed by MMC staff on how to build a Light Touch Switch(additional information on this switch can be found in our projects library) virtually. Participants will learn all about our Makers Making Change project, how to solder and assemble and build an assistive device which will then be donated to individuals throughout the Maritimes. Makers Making Change is a project that connects people who could benefit from assistive devices with volunteer makers. Makers Making Change (MMC) is an innovative community-based initiative that connects makers to people with disabilities to create affordable open source assistive technologies. Makers Making Change utilizes emerging technology such as Arduino microcontrollers, 3D printing and laser cutting. The project integrates the culture and communities that surround the open source movement, the maker movement and the crowdsourcing movement.
