RBC Royal Bank of Canada Virtual Build
February 25, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm AST
Makers Making Change is excited to partner with RBC Royal Bank of Canada for a Virtual Build!
The Atlantic Canada Regional Marketing and Communications Team from RBC Royal Bank of Canada will be joining us for this virtual build where they will be provided with tools and materials, and be instructed by MMC staff on how to build a Round Flexure Switch (additional information on this switch can be found in our projects library) virtually. Participants will learn all about our Makers Making Change project, how to solder and assemble and build an assistive device which will then be donated to individuals throughout the Maritimes. While this is a closed event for RBC staff, if you are interested in having a build with us – please reach out at [email protected]
Thanks to RBC staff for volunteering their time, learning new skills and contributing to our Makers Making Change project!
Makers Making Change is a project that connects people who could benefit from assistive devices with volunteer makers. Makers Making Change (MMC) is an innovative community-based initiative that connects makers to people with disabilities to create affordable open source assistive technologies. Makers Making Change utilizes emerging technology such as Arduino microcontrollers, 3D printing and laser cutting. The project integrates the culture and communities that surround the open source movement, the maker movement and the crowdsourcing movement.
