Hacking for the Holidays: Western University OT Students – Switch Build & Toy Hack

December 5 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

Free

Play is an essential occupation for children’s  learning and development. MMC are pleased to facilitate a switch build and toy hack in partnership with Western University.

As part of our Hacking for the Holidays event,  2nd year Occupational Therapy students at Western University will learn new skills building low cost assistive devices for children with disabilities.  With support from MMC team members, students will improve their knowledge about affordable assistive technology, build switches and modify toys to be switch accessible.  Toys will be donated to children in the community providing greater access through play to improved learning and development opportunities.

This is a private event at Western University. If you are a part of an organization serving children with disabilities or an individual living in Ontario you can request a toy from this event.
