The Active Velcro Glove will be a stretchy neoprene glove with an internal tenodesis splint-like structure to enable people with grasp difficulties to hold onto equipment for outdoor activities and safely self-release. Rare earth magnets — possibly with an electromagnetic component embedded in the sit ski handle or paddle shaft — would also be integrated into the design with an active self-release where the user can independently activate and turn off the current to enable them to quickly release the equipment in case of emergency, or simply to enable the user to reach for a water bottle or scratch their nose and then easily reattach to the paddle when ready. “Active Velcro” refers to the ability of the glove and paddle to actively grasp and release each other. This reduces the demand on the athlete to maintain the grip.
Are you still looking to build? I would be a candidate that may benefit from this glove.
Thanks,
Ken
