The Atlanta Makers Making Change Chapter is based out of the Shepherd Center.
My name is Kristen Webber. I am an occupational therapist in Atlanta, Georgia. I am the Chapter Leader at the Shepherd Center. The [Shepherd Center is a catastrophic care hospital](https://www.shepherd.org/) specializing in neurological injuries.
Prior to COVID-19 we were focusing on launching community partnerships focusing on 3D printing for eGaming. I can not wait to get us back to eGaming but for now- we are focusing on ways to produce PPE for users of sip and puff and other alternative access options.
Feel free to reach out if you are interested in collaborating!July 17, 2020 at 8:32 pm #10243
This area is used for users to find chapters in their local area and to start conversations on anything MMC related: gain support for organizing local events, support each other with local build requests and trouble shoot issues with projects.
If anyone in the Atlanta GA area wants to introduce themselves feel free to “reply to this thread” and say hi!
* Who are you and where are you based out of?
* What do you do, and what are your passions and areas of interest in assistive tech (and otherwise?)
* What are you hoping to get out of the experience of being an MMC Leader or member?
* What are you interested to know about other Chapter Leaders and members?
If you want to start your own thread that is relevant to the Atlanta area, start a new thread by clicking on Purple square that says “US Chapters” and then click “New Topic” on the right hand side. Add Atlanta GA in the title and tags as well as some words that indicate the post topic.
If you want to talk about devices or other topics, they might fit better under an existing category in the forum so check out your options! We can help by stepping in to move threads is necessary.
If you are reading this and you aren’t signed up for the forum/website yet, these videos will also be helpful to get you started!

I would be interested in collaborating on projects. I am a semi-retired mechanical and biomedical engineer with some experience in assistive technology (graduate study and some work), in addition to my engineering experience.
I now do 3D printing and fabrication. I’m also a skilled welder and work with metals and plastics.
I’m in Athens, GA. Reach out to me if you want anything designed or fabricated. We’ll discuss.
