Description of Idea:
Hand strengthening and separation skills for students with disabilities. Helping to develop cutting skills by providing a better grasp on standard hole punch.
I wonder if you could clarify the objective of the device – is it primarily to punch holes, or to exercise the hands? One might imagine a tabletop device that holds the punch and provides a top panel that could be simply pressed to activate the punch, but that wouldn’t provide exercise in gripping. Alternatively, we could come up with a set of fat handles that helps hold the punch in your hand, but requires a squeezing grip to activate. Also, are you thinking about a 3-hole punch, or a simple punch similar to a pair of pliers?
