    This is a simple mounting adapter that lets you securely attach a threaded device such as a magic arm to a table or desk using a readily available, inexpensive C-clamp.


    Thread the mounting device into the adapter. Clamp the mounting adapter to the desk or table using the C-clamp.

    If you need to add a furniture-saver pad to the C-clamp, this [Parametric Wood Clamp Foot Pad](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1067224) with the following OpenSCAD parameters:

    footOuterDiameter= 22;
    footWallThickness= 3;
    footWallHeight= 7;
    footRetainerHoleDiameter= 21;

    prints quite well in PETG and is a snap-fit over the end of a Bessey 2″ C-clamp.

    We’ve had a few reports of these failing after being used for a while. To some degree, this is expected from a 3D printed part, but there is almost certainly an opportunity to optimize the design.

    It would be great to have a maker look at how we can optimize the design and/or print setting to increase the durability of this part.
