The idea is to have a soft mouldable seat (like a squishmallow) that can form to the users body (mine) regardless of shaping and provide enough support that they can sit, but also not create pressure or rubbing. This is needed for someone whose body is constantly changing due to the progression of their spinal muscular atrophy and severe scoliosis. The regular custom molded seats cannot accommodate the change in the spine and hip replacements. So may fit one day and then not fit another day. So, the seat itself should be mold able.

We used to use vacuum forming bead cushions to scan for custom seats. The DIY version would be a vacuum storage bag filled with bean bag cushion beads.
