    Hi all-

My coworker has a student who has been successful with using a loaned ribbon switch from Ablenet which is sadly no longer being produced. Any ideas on how to DIY it?

I’m thinking it has this bend sensor in it? Soldering a mono cable to it and covering it with a heat sink? Would that actually work?

So it is possible! I put together some instructions in case anyone else needs this type of switch.

    Great Idea, Loreto..!! 😀

I have also tried to design something for this solution, We can do it easily with common push button and few 3D printed parts.
Let me know if you would like me to make a prototype for the same to see it’s working as expected or not??
    Any suggestions are most welcome…

Thanks @techiebaksh! Your switch looks like it functions as a large lever arm. It might not be a bad idea to have a different solution as well. Your design would certainly be more cost-effective. The sensor is around $11. Let me know if you come up with a case and I can try and print and put it together.
