Someone in my community asked to borrow a tool to help change a wheelchair tire, so I built one.
This tool helps people maintain an assistive device, but itself isn’t an assistive device intended to provide more independence. These tools, at least the cheap crummy ones, are available for $40+ anyway, so I’m not sure it would be of significant benefit to the community.
All that said, where is the line, and is adding this type of device within the mission of Makers Making Change?
