My son is 11 years old who was born without his right hand. As he gets older he has become more independent and unwilling to accept help ESPECIALLY with hygiene related struggles. Clipping his nails by himself is very difficult. Even with large clippers it is very very hard for him to do it without assistance. He is embarrassed to need help at 11. I am looking for these to help his independence.

Hi, @magenrogers. This is my first time printing this model but I’m happy to give it a try.  I’ll start printing these tomorrow. I have black filament already on the printer so I hope that’s okay.  I’m also going to buy a pair of new clippers to check the size and will send those along (unused) as well.  Stay tuned.

Well, I printed this twice and both times the two pieces fused themselves solidly together. I think my printer just can’t handle the tight tolerances of the design. If you’re interested (and it would work for your son, of course) I could print this one instead: https://makersmakingchange.com/project/nail-clipper-holder/. I’m confident my printer can do this one since it’s all once piece.  If not, I’ll have to let another volunteer take over.  Let me know what you think.

I haven’t heard back from you so I’m going to remove myself as the maker and hopefully someone else will be able to print the design you chose.  Sorry I wasn’t much help. Good luck!

I think my phone failed to send the previous email because i responded back on the 5th the same day you send the other option you could try. I am so sorry to inconvenience you. If you are still listed as a maker I would be happy with whatever option you can do. He has some arm on the right just no hand so I feel he could manage the other model. If you are no longer listed as a maker, i apologize for the inconvenience.
