My son is Visually Impaired and has CVI. He loves anything with lights and this would help him during nap times or when he goes to sleep at night to be more calmer. I hope to each him to turn this on by himself by activating a switch so he feels independent in turning this. This would also help a lot for when we travel with my son so he stays calm in his room so he feels more like at home for sensory reasons.

“The switch that controls the colored light can be pressed once to turn the light on, and pressed again to turn the light off. The colors will cycle through in this manner. The switches that control the spinning motion and white light can be held down and the toy will spin and light up for the duration of the hold.”

Do you need assistive switch connectors for all 3 functions?  Or perhaps only 1 or 2?

Do you have assistive switches, or do you need those as well?

What type of switch would work best for him?

Click “assistive devices”above, then check “assistive switches” on the left.  There are  a bunch of options.

I’ve ordered the toy.  Once I know which style of switch, I can order parts.

So I put a new request in…I think its the image that has a smiley face switch but when you click it.  It gives you more option in the images on the link for switches.

2 SWITCHES NEEDED FOR THE STAR LIGHT TOY

1.  IF YOU SCROLL THE IMAGES UNDER THIS OPTION IT HAS ONE THAT IS WHITE BASE WITH 3 RED CIRCLES ON IT.  ON THE TOP OF THE SWITCHES

2. IF YOU SCROLL THE IMAGES UNDER THIS OPTION IT HAS AS JOYSTICK STYLE SWITCH THAT IS YELLOW WITH A RED AND BLACK BASE TO IT.  ITS A TALLER SWITCH STICKING UP.
