One handed guy looking to solve a simple problem. A 3D print could be designed to attach over the toilet roll that stays in place and can be used to hold the roll while the length required is torn off. There are paper towel dispensers so why not TP?

I have some ideas for this, but would a replacement toilet roll holder to be fixed to the wall be acceptable?  I envisage a holder that a person with one hand could put a new toilet roll into so they would have complete independence.

Thanks Chris, that’s exactly what I would like to see. A roll that could easily be replaced with one hand, BUT also that has a mechanism or a ledge or a stopper so when enough paper has been pulled out, tearing off isn’t such a huge challenge. Does that make sense? Maybe like a drop in box, like I’ve seen in some paper towel dispensers.

Let’s just check toilet roll sizes.  A new UK roll is 11cm across, 10cm high and inside the carboard tube is 4cm across.  Same for you (roughly)?
