Overview

The Key Turner is a 3D printed assistive device designed to support people with arthritis and other disabilities in holding and operating their keys.


This device is designed to accommodate different key sizes.

How To Use

Place your fingers through the looped handle and apply a light grip to the device. Insert the key into a lock and turn it to the right or left to lock or unlock doors with minimal wrist movement required. With the key in the turned position you can also use the handle to pull or push open the door.

Users who have arthritis, or limited finger dexterity may find this device helpful when unlocking and opening doors. It also provides an option for anyone looking for an easy way to unlock and open doors with one hand.

This device consists of a single 3D printed part with a nut and bolt to lock the key in place. Key Turner Assembly Video


Hardware Required:

  • 1 M4 x 12mm screw (metric) / #8 - 1/2" screw (imperial)
  • 1 M4 hex nut / #8 hex nut
  • 2 M4 washer /#8 washer

  • 0.2 mm layer height
  • 50% infill
  • No Supports

Works perfectly, just tighten the screw very tight. Print with lots of infill.
